In September (2015), after years of using buckets and allowing no water to go down the drain, the NW Animal Shelter got the septic system installed.  A massive thank you is owed to John Horlings who did a fabulous job, and Steti Transport for delivering several loads of gravel to the project at no charge!  Steti has been a long term supporter of the shelter, donating several loads of gravel when we initially set up at the shelter property.  The biggest thank you is owed to NWAS volunteer and foster care provider Ellen, who donated the funds for the project through her trust www.kassandra-trust.com.

The Kassandra trust is a private trust that supports communities in northern BC - dedicating funds with an emphasis on community, arts, ecology, sustainability and innovation.  We cannot say enough how the completion of this project has made the life of shelter volunteer easier!  Thank you all!
